Since yesterday, a new dashboard update (kernel 13599) will be available on Xbox LIVE™ to strengthen the protection of the XBOX 360™ console.
The particularity of this update is that it incorporates a new challenges for AP25 games and protection systematically reflashes the drive firmware of the console with a new stock version if your drive was in LT+1.1 or lower.
Performed on a Slim console equipped with a Lite-On 9504, this update locks the write access of the drive making it impossible to write later (FAT drives are not affected by the lock).
Therefore we caution the console owners, whose drive is flashed in LT+1.1 or lower to not update their console over the Xbox LIVE™ with this new update.
